Legere Reeds For B♭ Clarinet 3 1/2 3.5 Resin Signature Legere European Used twice, but I'm selling them because I needed a stronger reed and won't be using these anymore. Will be packed and shipped in the outer box shown in the photos. *Reeds have been disinfected. Manufacturer Product Introduction ■ 4 Major Features of Legere Reeds [1]. No break-in period required, and they are resistant to wear and tear. While regular cane reeds typically last about 2-3 weeks, Legere reeds can essentially be used semi-permanently as long as they are not physically broken. [2]. They do not absorb water, so their condition remains consistent. The condition of regular cane reeds changes over time as they absorb moisture. Players must be careful with reed rotation and maintenance to avoid rapid moisture absorption. Legere reeds maintain a consistent condition, allowing you to focus on your playing and practice. [3]. Harmless to humans and can be disinfected. Legere reeds are made from polypropylene. This material is even approved by the FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration) for food use, making it a very safe material. [4]. The biggest point is their tone, suitable for performance. Used by clarinetists Wenzel Fuchs of the Berlin Philharmonic and Ernst Ottensamer of the Vienna Philharmonic, two of the world's leading orchestras. Legere reeds are used by professional players because of their excellent tone. ● Signature Series The Legere Signature Series was developed and released based on months of testing by top players, including Larry Combs, former principal clarinetist of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. They offer an exceptional playing feel, depth and warmth of tone, and responsiveness that are very close to natural cane reeds.
