Thank you for looking. This is a long chest (nagomochi) of unknown age that was in my grandparents' house. It has been unused and stored in a closet for the past 20-30 years. Overall, it shows signs of age and wear, including dirt (I wiped the outside several times, but dirt continued to come off on the cloth), rust on the metal fittings, and peeling paint. There are handles on the sides, which do not appear to be broken. One of the hinges on the back has been reinforced (repaired) with something wrapped around it. The lock-like fitting on the front seemed to go in about halfway (this is just my subjective opinion). The hole to the right of the fitting might be a keyhole, but the key is missing. The inside of the main body appears to be lined with paper throughout. The bottom board does not seem to be a single piece, as gaps are visible. The lid opens and closes smoothly. External dimensions: Width: approx. 150 cm Depth: approx. 60 cm Height: approx. 65 cm I work during weekdays, so quick responses may be difficult, but please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or requests. I would appreciate it if you would consider this item with the understanding that it has been stored at home for a long time by an amateur and inspected by an amateur.
